06..2021

June is always a very exciting time of the year for me. It is not only the month of the year in which the days start getting longer and I start preparing myself for summer to be around the corner - It is also the month of the year during which the Springboks had beaten the All Blacks in our first rugby world cup victory.

June is also special for me as this is the month in which I was finally led to believe that God has called me into full time ministry 24 years ago.

And lately we can add to the list that June 2021 is:

1. the month in which we received our written confirmation that HopeHQ is finally being registered as an accredited training service provider.

2. the month during which we received our first BEE money from a very special donor from the Eastern Cape.

On the downside June 2021 will be remembered as the month we had to be addressing protocols for Covid-19 to ensure that staff, volunteers and students are safe and protected from the third (Delta) wave. A decision was recently taken to, as far as possible, work from home again, whilst closing the skills centres temporarily to align ourselves with the President’s Level 4 regulations.

It is therefore clear that we too are affected by this crisis. We however choose to believe that we are a voice of hope and encouragement to all our students and the community we serve.

With this being said, also read below some exciting news giving hope through our various programmes.

We stay connected to God’s word as we find it in Hebrews 10:23 – “Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful

Happy reading
