Hope HQ is a skills centre in Knysna's industrial area. Young men and women from disadvantaged communities come to us for six months. They leave with a trade, the know-how to run a business, and the belief that they can build a future.
Where it began
A small woodworking programme in Knysna's industrial heart: a few benches, a few tools and a handful of young people ready to learn.
A full skills centre
A 6-month skills development centre running the Handyman course plus Introduction and Advanced Sewing, with two intakes a year.
Real trade skills
Hands-on training in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, roofing and tiling, taught in a working workshop.
Business & computers
Business literacy and computer skills give graduates the confidence to start their own venture or join the formal economy.
